Bruce Rock District High School (DHS) is seeking an enthusiastic Science and Mathematics Teacher to join their team.

About the role

The successful applicant will ideally be highly motivated, energetic and possess the qualities to promote excellence, contribute to effective teams, and implement innovative curriculum. You should also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively.

You should be innovative, knowledgeable and understand instructional curriculum whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments within the Science Learning Area. You should also be reflective in assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and able to cultivate a safe and accountable learning environment. The successful applicant will teach Science to students in Year 7 to 10 and Mathematics to students in Year 7 to 10 following the Maths Pathway (online) program.  

Our school

Bruce Rock DHS has just undergone a complete refurbishment of their Science Room and the successful applicant will walk into one of the best resourced and newest laboratories in WA. The new facility will be completed and ready for staff and students in early 2023.

Bruce Rock DHS is located 240 km from Perth, caters for 120 children from Kindergarten to Year 10. Our school has a history of achieving high academic results where children are provided with a rigorous and challenging curriculum. At Bruce Rock DHS everybody matters, and we provide a friendly, inclusive, and caring environment where students feel supported and enjoy coming to school.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
