Position Profile: The focus of the Health Promotion team is to work in partnership with community and stakeholders to create and maintain community environments that support and maintain optimal health, wellbeing and belonging. The Health Promotion Officer will work collaboratively with local government and other stakeholders to support the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of health promotion programs in the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) geographic catchment area. Our team focuses on addressing the four EMHS health promotion priorities: increasing physical activity, improving access to and consumption of nutritious food and drink, preventing and minimising harm from alcohol use and reducing tobacco and e-cigarette use.
Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.

Area Profile: The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health service network that aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more than 725,000 Western Australians in its catchment area.
The EMHS consists of Royal Perth Hospital; Armadale Health Service; Bentley Health Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John of God Midland Public Hospital and a range of community and population health services.
The EMHS catchment area comprises 13 local government areas including City of Armadale, Town of Bassendean, City of Bayswater, City of Belmont, City of Canning, City of Gosnells, City of Kalamunda, Shire of Mundaring, City of Perth, City of Swan, Serpentine-Jarrahdale Shire, City of South Perth and the Town of Victoria Park.
