Kalamunda Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of enthusiastic and passionate Mathematics Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
Suitable applicants should be innovative and highly motivated educators with the ability to provide quality teaching in the Mathematics curriculum area as part of dedicated team. They should have a passion for their curriculum area and a deep understanding of instructional strategies to effectively engage students in the learning process.
Suitable applicants should be reflective practitioners who actively engage in activities to improve their professional practice. The ability to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Mathematics courses will be an advantage.
Suitable applicants should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be collaborative members of the whole school community, embracing the school’s vision, values and strategic directions.
The school also operates a Year 7 Learning Team which provides a nurturing environment for students to smoothly transition to high school. Teachers in this team teach both Mathematics and Science to two (2) Year 7 classes, while also teaching a senior school (Year 11 or 12) class in their major curriculum area. Applicants who are interested in teaching in this team are also encouraged to apply as are primary trained teachers and those who have undertaking the secondary Learning Enrichment Achievement Program (LEAP) program.
