Thornlie Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and enthusiastic English Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
Suitable applicants will teach English Curriculum in the lower secondary (years 7 to 10) in addition to teaching a combination of Foundation, General and/or Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level courses for Year 11 and 12 students. Ideally you will have public school experience and secondary qualifications. The role would suit someone who is highly organised and has excellent written and oral communication skills. Teachers who can create a learning environment that is differentiated, challenging, caring and creative, that caters for the range of needs so all students may achieve and progress are strongly encouraged to apply. Thornlie SHS has a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) focus with a strong STEM strategic plan.
