This is a twelve (12) month fixed term full-time position commencing Term 1, 2023 with possible extension and/or permanency,
Nedlands Primary School (PS) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Health & Physical Education Teacher to join our passionate team.
We are seeking a highly organised Physical and Health Education specialist teacher with ample initiative and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Supporting equity through a curriculum of diversity is a critical success criterion for the application. You will create an inclusive and vibrant learning environment, celebrating all students. Effective relationship building across the school community with timely practical communication is essential to the role. Innovation around curriculum and contributing to the network initiatives is essential.
Nedlands PS has a pool, basketball/tennis courts and an oval on the grounds. The pool is actively used by the community and managed by the P&C and school collaboratively. Your coaching involvement will support an existing program which is central to the culture of our school.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
