Appointment Pool

Marri Grove Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 Teachers, including specialist roles, for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise from Term 4, 2022 and up to the end of Term 3, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within Term 4, 2022 and up to the end of Term 3, 2023.

This focus means that we embrace and seek; a deep level collaboration in year level teams including planning and unpacking lessons together, sharing strategies and a focus on success for every child. To be successful in this role, you should display your experience in working collaboratively within a team, focused on school wide programs and processes. You should also display how you support and cater for all students’ learning needs in the classroom so that they are successful.

Marri Grove PS is situated south of Armadale along the South West Highway in Byford. The school currently has over 500 students, enrolled from Kindergarten through to Year 6.

The school offers specialist programs in Science, Health and Physical Education, The Arts, and Indonesian. Applicants with knowledge and/or experience in teaching in these specialist areas are encouraged to apply.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY

  • meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and

TRAINING

Employees will be required to:

  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.

The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
