The Ideal Teacher
The successful applicant should have a passion for HASS and have the ability to implement instructional strategies that maximise students’ engagement in their learning and motivate both junior and senior school students to achieve to their full potential. You will ideally be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collegially with other staff.
The successful applicant will ideally have the ability to provide high-quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. You should have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to teach students of varying ability levels, differentiating the curriculum across Year 7 to 12 in a highly engaging manner. You will ideally have experience in teaching senior secondary HASS and possess strong skills and experience in teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) HASS.
We will also consider an internal secondment opportunity for permanent teachers in other locations within the Department of Education who would like to work at our school for up to three years and retain their substantive position.
