Rivergums Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Teachers – Kindergarten to Year 6 for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 3, 2023.

Applicants should be committed to putting students first in their decision-making and provide purposeful and relevant learning experiences that cater for differentiated student learning needs as outlined in the Western Australian Curriculum. We are looking for teachers who have a commitment to plan and engage in professional learning activities that support a whole school approach and systemic priorities. You should be committed to the implementation of Explicit Direct Instruction strategies and believe that exemplary, evidence-based teaching practices lead to successful students and high standards of achievement.
Suitable applicants will ideally establish strong, positive and productive relationships with students, peers and the wider school community. A commitment to supporting students mental health and wellbeing is essential through the delivery of social-emotional learning programs in class and using the school wide Positive Behaviour Support program.
You should possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and display the ability to work collaboratively. Students are exposed to the latest pedagogy, assessment strategies and educational research with a clear focus on the implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum.
Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
