About the role
We are seeking an Early Childhood Education - Teacher who is a team player, with a positive and caring nature. You should be committed to putting students first in your decision-making and will undertake the work that is inherent in adhering to a whole school approach. You will deliver motivating and quality educational programs to students and believe that exemplary, evidence-based teaching practices lead to successful students and high standards of achievement.
The successful applicant will ideally be conscientious and have a diligent approach to the role. You should be a collaborative, active and flexible staff member who displays high interpersonal and problem solving skills.
The successful applicant should display a strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and the Early Years Learning Framework and be willing to use other whole school programmes such as Letters and sounds, Talk For Writing, Heggerty Phonemic Awareness and Top Ten Maths. You should also be able to plan and teach in a collaborative environment with highly developed competencies in differentiating the curriculum and integrating technology.

Mt Manypeaks PS is located in a beautiful rural setting only 40km east of Albany on Menang Noongar Boodja. There are twenty - two students in two classes. Our school grounds are an important part of our educational space and include vegetable and bush tucker gardens, nature play spaces, bush and grassed areas and a basketball court. We are also within walking distance to tennis courts, the town hall and Lake Pleasant View.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
