Shenton College is seeking to establish a pool of Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
Suitable applicants should be expert, passionate teachers of HASS, with demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. You should be able to demonstrate the professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary HASS curriculum from the early and middle adolescent phases of learning through to senior secondary courses.
As a prosperous large school the College employs over thirty Humanities teachers, some of whom will teach within one of our dedicated Middle School Communities (Years 7 and 8), while others will be in our Senior Schools teaching from year 9 through to year 12. Over their time at Shenton College, staff will generally have the opportunity to alternate between the Middle and Senior schools. We anticipate there will be several Humanities positions available for 2023.

- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
