This is a six (6) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2022
Mount Barker Community College (MBCC) is seeking an applicant that will develop, improve and deliver Upper Primary programs whilst improving the participation of students throughout the class.
The successful applicant should utilise an evidence-based approach and make the best use of contemporary learning tools. You should possess the qualities to promote excellence, build effective teams and implement an innovative curriculum.
Applicants will ideally be highly motivated team players willing to extend their experience beyond mathematics and participate in whole school activities and working groups. You should have high level communication skills and the ability to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

In addition, they should have the ability to promote an environment of active and positive learning; and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their very best. The successful applicant will ideally have an extensive knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and a history of supporting and enhancing classroom practice across learning teams.
The successful applicant should be self-motivated, prepared to enthusiastically embrace new opportunities and work proactively towards achieving successful outcomes for all students.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment.
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement.
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
