Pearsall Primary School (PS) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant will continue with the existing Year 6 program that is in place. They will ideally be able to effectively collaborate in a team environment to plan for student needs. The successful applicant should have knowledge of the Year 6 WA Curriculum, and should be able to effectively communicate with parents, staff, and students. Having strong interpersonal skills will be advantageous.
We are seeking applicants who are ideally motivated, innovative, and possess high quality teaching skills. They will be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole-school processes, and participate in whole school collaborative planning.
The successful applicant will ideally have the capacity to work as part of an effective team and engage in whole school planning. We seek teachers with the ability to inspire students to develop an enthusiasm for learning in vibrant, engaging, and supportive classrooms. You should possess a strong capacity to plan, present and assess challenging and engaging programs and have a sound understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration

- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
