Appointment Pool

Rossmoyne Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of enthusiastic French Language Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2023.

It is an exciting time to join our school community with the implementation of our new Business Plan.

Suitable applicants should have high expectations, display a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. They should be expert teachers of their language, as well as being flexible and adaptive teachers who can apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching. An ability to teach French across all year levels from Years 7 – 12 is required. Candidates who have experience working with Gifted and Talented students, Students at Educational Risk and English as an Additional Language/Dialect students will be highly regarded, however Graduate teachers are encouraged to apply.

Applicants will ideally possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. They will work collaboratively with their colleagues in the Languages Department and build positive relationships with their students. They should be performance driven and use evidence based decision-making skills
