Hampton Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Home Economics Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2023.
Suitable applicants will utilise their motivational and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and create an engaging learning environment for students in the Home Economics Learning Area.
Ideally, suitable applicants will be able to display the ability to provide purposeful and relevant learning experiences that cater for different student learning needs as outlined in the West Australian Curriculum. Additionally, it is expected that a wide range of assessment and reporting methods are utilised to indicate student achievement in relation to the relevant achievement standards. Applicants with a strong knowledge of the curriculum area and ongoing and proven success in teaching General Food Science and Technology as well as Children, Family and the Community will be highly regarded.
Applicants with the knowledge and ability to teach in another Learning Area is highly desirable.
