Appointment Pool
Marmion Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Teachers - Primary for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 4, 2023
To be suitable for this role, you will ideally be highly motivated, energetic, team-focused and student-centred with qualities that promote, build and maintain professional relationships. You should possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
Suitable applicants will be able to display the use of student-centred and evidence-based teaching practices that result in high levels of achievement and progress for all students. This includes the ability to differentiate the curriculum to engage all students in learning, including those from different cultures.
Suitable applicants who are self-reflective and committed to their own professional growth, using opportunities to gather, analyse and assess system, whole-of-school and classroom-based student achievement data in order make evidence-based decisions about teaching practice, with a relentless focus on improving outcomes for all students, will be highly regarded
The utilisation of peer and classroom observations, and feedback to support professional growth, will form an important aspect of this role, as will the capacity to work as an active and effective member of a collaborative team, by sharing experiences and resources, responding to feedback and demonstrating an ongoing commitment to professional growth.

The school's outstanding Music program includes instrumental tuition for clarinet, violin, cello, trumpet and viola, and the school choir, and a string ensemble. Students perform regularly and The Music Night is a highlight on the school calendar. Specialist Programs are also provided in Physical Education, Languages (German) and Visual Arts.
Classrooms are air-conditioned and networked with multimedia facilities. The school grounds are well developed and include multi-purpose hard courts, ovals and specialised playgrounds to provide an interactive environment.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
