Appointment Pool
Inglewood Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Early Childhood Teachers (K-2) for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.
At Inglewood PS, we believe student learning is maximised when teachers work together to create positive and vibrant learning environments that include our whole school approaches to teaching and learning from K-2. Evidence based practice drives our school improvement plan, and a culture of high expectation and commitment to learning focused classrooms is embedded at Inglewood PS. Specialist areas include Physical Education, Music, Digital Technologies, and Science. Our school motto of ‘Caring and Sharing’ is a central part of our school culture and Inglewood PS has productive and positive relationships with our parents, P&C and School Board.
We are seeking dedicated, collaborative, and improvement focused applicants who will make the most of every opportunity to build a culture of positive impact on student learning. Suitable applicants must be aligned to the school’s strategic direction, as outlined in the Business plan. Suitable applicants should be able to confidently implement high impact instructional teaching practices, and work with colleagues to collaboratively plan for learning experiences that embody excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment.
Our early childhood programs provide a strong foundation for students through high quality synthetic phonics, explicit phonological and phonemic awareness instruction (Heggerty), Talk for Writing, and a gradual release methodology. All teaching and learning is reflective of contemporary best practice in early childhood education and we are proud to be part of the Leading Inspired Learning in the Early Years (LILEY) project. Inglewood PS strongly supports student engagement in early childhood through a blended model of intentional play based learning and explicit instruction.
Inglewood PS is a proud Independent Public School with a legacy of success. The school works diligently with parents and the wider community to provide a stimulating educational environment for our 615 Kindergarten to Year 6 students so they are enabled to participate as informed and active members of a global society.
