Rossmoyne Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a vibrant, innovative and dedicated Physical Science Teacher to join our friendly team. We are looking for a dynamic teacher who will bring energy into our classroom environment, inspiring and engaging our students with opportunities to use Science in real life contexts, specifically in the areas of Physics and Chemistry.
The successful applicant will ideally be highly experienced in the areas of Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Physics and Chemistry with the ability to work as part of a collegiate team and be solutions focussed. Applicants should have high expectations, a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. They should be flexible and adaptive teachers, able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching across all year levels. Applicants with experience working with Gifted and Talented and/or high performing students, Students at Educational Risk and English as an Additional Language/Dialect students will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant should possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. They should be performance driven and use evidence based decision-making skills.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
