Appointment Pool
Eastern Goldfields College is seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Secondary Generalist for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2023.

About the role
We currently have positions available for Teachers in Computing, Home Economics and Visual Arts. If you are a Teacher passionate about your subject area and creating exciting learning experiences for your students, we welcome your interest in this pool.
The successful applicants will ideally have a strong secondary teaching background with teaching in Years 11 and 12 highly desirable but not essential. We are seeking Teachers with demonstrated use of a range of pedagogies and a flexible and adaptive approach in applying the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching. You will have an ability to empower your students to take charge of their learning and build engagement in their education and employment pathways.
The successful applicant will ideally possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues and build positive relationships with your students. As a teacher within our school your expertise and endearing personal attributes will contribute to establishing and maintaining a positive classroom learning environment.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
