Ashburton Drive Primary School (PS) is seeking a passionate Teacher - Primary – Technologies to join their friendly team, to establish and implement whole school Technologies.

To be successful in this role you should have excellent interpersonal skills and be capable of creating high quality learning experiences in the classroom. You should exhibit care and consideration for students, display effective behaviour management practices and show a willingness to seek constant improvement in your practice. Knowledge of the Digital Technologies curriculum up to and including Year 6 and having the ability to differentiate for individual students, resulting in the provision of engaging learning experiences is highly desirable.

The Ashburton Drive PS motto is 'Dream, Believe, Achieve' and the school song is, 'You Can Do It'. A friendly, positive school tone with a strong emphasis on teaching and encouraging students who uphold the school values is driven by The Western Australian Positive Behaviour Support (WA PBS) program. Established in 1986, the school is located in Gosnells, a south-eastern suburb of Perth. The school is built upon historic farming land with a diverse wetlands located adjacent to the school.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. 

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY

Employees will be required to:

  • meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration

TRAINING

Employees will be required to:

  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
