About the Role
This position will involve teaching across the Primary School. Learning Areas taught will be dependent on the skills of the applicant and may include Art, Humanities and Social Sciences, Music, Physical Education and Home Economics – Kitchen Garden utilising the schools new Greenhouse.

Our School
Leonora DHS is a wonderfully unique school that caters for approximately 100 students from Kindergarten through to Year 12 with an Aboriginal population of approximately 78%.
All our students and our staff embrace a culturally response environment where our students are taught the Wongkatha language and participate in the Two-Way Science program. Our school is a lead School in Two-Way Science where students and staff learn together the western scientific approach along with the approaches that Aboriginal people have been using for centuries.

Leonora is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, located approximately 833 kilometres northeast of Perth, and 237 kilometres north of the city of Kalgoorlie.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
