About the role
Roebuck Primary School (PS) is looking to appoint a knowledgeable Teacher of the Indonesian Language to join their dedicated teaching team.
The successful applicant will ideally be a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic languages teacher with a strong Indonesian language background, with the ability to immerse students in both an understanding of the language and the development of cultural awareness. They will be responsible for implementing visible learning practices that involve the provision of learning intentions and success criteria for all lessons. Additionally, they will provide effective feedback to students through formative assessment and negotiate goals that support students to become independent learners.
The successful applicant should be committed to putting students first in all school based decision-making and this will be reflected in your outstanding, contemporary instruction that will embrace differentiation, consideration of student wellbeing and the capacity to facilitate engaging learning experiences.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to liaise with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships, are highly desirable. As the successful applicant, you should be relationship focused with a consistent and transparent classroom management approach. Ideally you will be enthusiastic, seek opportunities for innovation, leadership and ideally have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
