Appointment Pool
Tom Price Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish an Arts Teacher pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.

About the role
The successful applicant will work as part of a dedicated team and have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the school community. The successful applicant will ideally be flexible, creative and forward thinking and exhibit their passion for the Arts, particularly in the area of Visual Arts and Music. You will ideally be confident in teaching students across Kindergarten to Year 6 with particular focus on providing relevant and engaging lessons linking to the Western Australian Curriculum.
The successful applicant should have high expectations and a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. You should also be flexible and adaptive and be able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching. You will ideally also be able to incorporate current and emerging technologies to best meet the needs of our students based on research informed practice.
With effective interpersonal skills and willingness to adopt a 'restorative' approach, the successful applicant will work with students, teachers and the community to instil our school values, allowing students to achieve to their full potential. Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
