Kojonup District High School (DHS) is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic junior primary teacher to join their experienced and dedicated team.
The successful applicant will ideally have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills which underpin professional and positive working relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community. Ideally you will become an integral part of this community partnership to support each child to reach their potential.
As a teacher at Kojonup DHS, ideally you will work in a collaborative environment to improve student outcomes, reflect on your own performance, contribute to staff development and support our distributed leadership structure. Committed to continuous improvement, demonstrated by your willingness to accept and implement change, and also in your ability to lead initiatives at a phase of learning and/or school-wide level is highly desirable. Our school has a whole school explicit instruction approach to lesson delivery. We have whole school plans and programs that the successful applicant will be expected to implement.
The successful applicant will ideally be highly skilled and motivated educators who are passionate about teaching, with an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and demonstrate best practice in Literacy and Numeracy in the junior primary classroom.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
