Burrendah Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated Language Teacher (Italian) to join their team. This role will build on an established Italian Language program from Years 3-6.
Part of this role will be to develop a whole school language program in Italian with cross curriculum links. Italian has been taught for a number of years at our school and is highly regarded by parents and students. The successful applicant should have highly developed interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with our Language and EAL/D team. The ability to be flexible would be highly regarded as there is not an assigned Language’s room.
The school is highly respected within the local area and shares a common site with Willetton Senior High School and Castlereagh School. We foster and maximise every opportunity for the high school students and staff to further their learning opportunities by working with our students. In addition, Burrendah PS shares a close working relationship with the other primary schools in the area, with many programs achieving very positive outcomes for students. Time and engagement with students and staff within the school and the local education community offers great rewards and the successful applicant will be a welcome addition to a dynamic team.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
