Riverside Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Primary (K-6) Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.
We are seeking highly professional teachers that ideally possess outstanding interpersonal skills to be placed in a pool for teaching opportunities at Riverside PS. They will ideally pursue excellence in classroom teaching practice, including following an Explicit Teaching pedagogy and capacity to cater for a wide range of student abilities and special needs in their class.
The suitable applicants will foster and encourage innovation, and make student academic achievement the core of their work. The suitable applicants will be highly organised and have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with peers. Additionally, they will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, be willing to participate in coaching and peer observation as part of their professional growth, and a commitment to working with parents and the wider community.
Riverside PS is located in Greenfields, Mandurah and is a shared site with the Riverside Education Support Centre. There are approximately 475 students enrolled from K-6. Riverside PS is a collaborative and inclusive community that nurtures and inspires personal growth. We provide a supportive learning environment that fosters creative, mutually respectful and responsible independence from our students.
Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
