Bateman Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mandarin Language Teacher to join our friendly and supportive school.
We are seeking a teacher ideally with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills which underpin professional and positive working relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community. The successful applicant will become an integral part of this community partnership to support each child to reach their potential.
The successful applicant will ideally possess the ability to create an engaging and interactive classroom that supports hands on learning. They will provide a setting for the development and understanding of the Mandarin Language and cultural awareness. They should be committed to continuous improvement and possess a willingness to accept and implement change
Bateman PS, an Independent Public School situated 14km south of Perth City, caters for approximately 370 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school has a strong literacy and numeracy focus with each child catered for at their level of need and ability across the whole school. Our teaching and learning program challenges all students to develop the necessary skills, understandings and attitudes to become independent learners and productive members of our community. Along with excellent school-wide programs in literacy, numeracy, science and the humanities we also offer specialist teacher subjects including science, physical education, music and Chinese as well as a vibrant social-emotional program.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
