Dianella Secondary College (SC) is seeking an outstanding and enthusiastic Science teacher, to join our Science Department for 2022.
As a Science Teacher at Dianella SC you will ideally be dedicated, innovative and an inspirational educator with a passion for Science education. Experience in the successful delivery of Science curriculums in lower and senior school Science is highly desirable. The successful applicant will ideally have the capacity to plan and implement high quality lessons that engage students and inspire an interest in Science. The ability and capacity to teach across year groups with experience of teaching Integrated Science would be advantageous for this role.
The successful applicant will ideally support the implementation of the school business plan, work and teach in a team environment, be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives and have a strong evidenced based approach. The capacity to use data and make evidence based decisions will be highly regarded.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to liaise with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships, are highly desirable. As the successful applicant, you should ideally be relationship focused with a consistent and transparent classroom management approach. Ideally you will be enthusiastic, seek opportunities for innovation and leadership, and desirably have the proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
