Appointment Pool

Swan View Education Support Centre (ESC) are seeking to establish a pool of motivated and enthusiastic Education Support Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.

This position requires flexible and reflective teachers, ideally with specialist knowledge and skills related to students with mild to moderate disability, including Intellectual Disability (ID) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The suitable applicants should be able to manage class teams and liaise with parents and therapists to meet the educational and care needs of the students.

Suitable applicants will ideally have experience in developing, implementing and reviewing meaningful and appropriate Individual Education Plans that not only outline functional curriculum objectives but supports the whole child through targeted social-emotional skills, life skills and Protective Behaviours curriculum. Knowledge of Special Education Need Reporting To Parents (SEN-RTP), Abilities Based Learning Education, Western Australia (ABLEWA) and Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network (ASDAN) is desirable.
