Appointment Pool

Lynwood Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of talented and innovative Teachers of Media and Photography for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.

Suitable applicants will have the ability to deliver either Media Arts and or Photography courses from Years 7-12. A valid Certificate IV Training and Assessment, relevant industry qualification (Cert II in Visual Arts: Photography) with industry currency will be highly advantageous, but are not essential, as multiple positions are expected to be filled from the pool. 

As a member of a flexible and innovative learning area team, an ability to deliver other Arts courses such as Visual Arts, Digital and Graphic Art and Drama would be highly valued. At Lynwood SHS, students enrolled in our Arts courses are provided with access to Adobe's Creative Cloud suite, and proficiency with this platform will be considered advantageous.

As a member of our Arts team, you will work collaboratively in the development and delivery of a highly engaging Arts curriculum and to promote the growth of the Media Arts and Photography within the school, particularly in Senior School.

Our staff are carefully selected for their commitment to the delivery of quality education and for their willingness to adhere to the School values and participate in Arts activities outside of regular school hours.

Ideally candidates will have experience in teaching students from a non-English speaking backgrounds and have completed CMS (Classroom Management Strategies), IS (Instructional Strategies) and/or EI (Explicit Instruction) training. Actively supporting the school commitment to EI will be central to the position.

Suitable applicants should be able to substantiate a strong commitment to the development of their own pedagogy via avenues such as targeted professional learning, collaboration with colleagues, membership of a professional learning team, use of student feedback surveys and formative assessment.

Aspirant leaders with the ability to manage and support key programs and additional activities at Lynwood SHS are encouraged to apply for this position. It is important that applicants display their capacity to engage purposefully across all aspects of this learning area.
