Boyup Brook District High School is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic qualified teacher who is willing to commit to our school community. This position has opportunity for growth and development as a teacher in a varied and interesting worksite which is well resourced and supported.
Boyup Brook is situated 270kms south of Perth and is in the stunning Blackwood Valley that has easy access to many tourist attractions. The school has been an Independent Public School since 2012 and consists of approximately 60 secondary students and 115 primary students on split sites 700 metres apart. The school is highly valued by the local community which is predominately a farming community and has a strong reputation for providing a quality education as seen through our most recent school review.

As the successful applicant you will deliver motivating and quality education programs and believe that exemplary, evidence based teaching practices lead to successful students with high standards of achievement.
Your teaching will ideally prioritise the reflective use of data and embed differentiation to support all students. You will ideally adopt high impact teaching strategies and use ongoing formative assessment to provide feedback to students, measure student progress, differentiate teaching and plan next steps in learning.
There are potentially two teaching positions available at the school and this process will be used for both positions and any further positions that become available within the new year. We encourage male and graduate teachers to apply for this exciting role.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- hold full, non-practising or provisional registration with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full, non-practising or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
