Rossmoyne Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Teacher - Music for 2022.

The successful applicant will ideally possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to continuing to deliver the high quality Music program at Rossmoyne PS.

The successful applicant will work closely with students, teachers, parents and the wider school community to achieve the best educational outcomes for our students.  As a valued member of the teaching staff, the successful applicant will exhibit high level knowledge to plan, teach and assess the Western Australian Curriculum in Music for Years 1-6. Proficient use of interactive and digital technologies will be highly regarded. An important aspect of the position as our Music Teacher is to be a visible presence in our school promoting engagement and participation in Music for all students.

As our Music Teacher, the successful applicant will ideally have experience in leading and conducting Junior and Senior Choirs and will be involved in a variety of choir events including Massed Choir Festival, Anzac Service, Assemblies, Graduation Ceremony and other performance opportunities. Rossmoyne PS also has a School Band which is co-ordinated by the Music Teacher, and an Orchestra which is co-ordinated by the instrumental string tutor supported by the Music Teacher. The successful applicant will also be expected to co-ordinate the instrumental music program on behalf of the Instrumental Music School Services (IMSS) working with the instrumental music teachers and the students to organise lessons and plan performances such as the Music Soiree and other events.
