Appointment Pool
South Bunbury Education Support Centre (ESC) is seeking to establish a pool of dynamic, innovative and committed Manager Corporate Services (MCS) for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.
South Bunbury ESC is a school which caters for students in Kindergarten to Year 6 who may have a range of diagnosed disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and intellectual disability. The school services the southwest area with students attending from as far as Capel, Donnybrook, Australind, Collie and Yarloop. Our school prides itself on offering a cohesive, caring team environment for its staff and students.
As the MCS at South Bunbury ESC you will be involved in managing the school’s financial, physical and human resources. South Bunbury ESC employs a large support staff. Our MCS plays a key role in the performance and development processes for our support staff. Suitable applicants will ideally have excellent communication skills and a high emotional intelligence, demonstrated through their support staff emotional well-being during difficult circumstances.
We are seeking applicants with a proactive approach who will be able to lead, manage and participate in school-based committees to support school improvement processes. A strong knowledge of School Information System (SIS), RM Finance, RM Billing, Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) and Recruitment Advertising Management System (RAMS) will be highly regarded.
South Bunbury ESC is co-located with South Bunbury Primary School and strong, inclusive links with students, staff and administration have been established between the schools over a number of years. Suitable applicants should be able to strengthen and add value to these existing relationships in the future. Knowledge and experience with shared site agreements would be considered beneficial.
Relationships are a key part of the MCS role at South Bunbury ESC and are a key priority in our Strategic Plan. Our MCS should be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, families and members of the community.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Leadership skills in the delivery of business outcomes and sound customer service principles and practices.
- Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to use effective negotiation skills.
- Sound financial management skills, including budget preparation and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- Sound human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems.
- Ability to provide input into the development, implementation and monitoring of business and marketing plans.
- Sound conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy;
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment; and
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
