Are you a passionate, dedicated enthusiastic Primary Teacher who is looking for a rewarding change?

Pinjarra Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher – Primary to join their friendly team.

The successful applicant should be highly motivated and committed to raising literacy and numeracy achievement, as well as social and emotional skills, through the effective use of whole-school approaches and explicit teaching. They will create an effective, engaging and inclusive learning environment based on high expectations. They should also use assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for all students in their class.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. They will be an active member of a collaborative team, maximising the learning opportunities for students and collaborating with their colleagues. Having a passion and joy for teaching and strong classroom management skills will be highly regarded.

The social and emotional development of all students is a focus throughout the school. The diverse needs of all students are catered for through the school’s inclusive practices. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. 

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.
