Ballajura Community College (CC) is seeking a proactive, dedicated and innovative individual to join their leadership team in the role of Program Coordinator - Operations. In collaboration with the college’s leadership team the successful applicant will provide strategic leadership of college operations.
The Program Coordinator - Operations will be an integral member of BCC’s leadership team assisting the Executive team in all aspects of college operations. The ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the Principal, Executive and Senior Leadership teams, and with the college community, to promote the shared vision and values of the college as reflected in the college’s Development Plan is highly desirable. As a strategic and self-driven leader you will ideally need to be able to work across teams and independently, and have excellent interpersonal skills to lead a range of operations, building positive relationships with students, staff and the community to ensure exemplary student outcomes.
As the Program Coordinator - Operations, you will be working to support the college vision and values and strategic directions. The successful applicant will ideally have a high level of understanding of college operations. To be successful in the role, you will need to be highly motivated with exceptional organisational and time management skills.
Major responsibilities as required by the Principal include: coordinating teacher relief, management of major college events including the Award Ceremony, development of a variety of rosters, arranging parent/teacher nights, overseeing college public relations, publications and marketing, ensuring compliance of mandatory Professional Learning, manage student recognition programs and a range of testing schedules including examinations, National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN), Online Literacy and Numeracy assessment (OLNA) and Progressive Achievement Tests (PAT) testing. The Program Coordinator - Operations should be highly skilled in a range of Information Technology. An understanding of MAZE and Saron Education Quality Teachers Assistant (SEQTA) is highly desirable.
The position will include up to a 0.7 teaching load.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings;
- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;
- Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
- Capacity to manage physical and financial resources.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
