Rockingham Senior High School (SHS) is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and passionate Drama teacher who ideally has experience in the Performing Arts to join out thriving Arts program. They would be expected to actively contribute and support a collaborative team approach to further develop a culture of excellence in The Arts teaching and learning program.

The successful applicant should be able to teach Drama across a range of ability levels from Year 7 to Year 12, including Senior Secondary general courses. They will ideally possess sound interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and be able to work cooperatively in a Learning Area team. Sound classroom management, the ability to develop rapport and motivate students, differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and to practise a range of teaching strategies are a strong focus for this position.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to liaise with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships, are also highly regarded.  As the successful applicant, you should be relationship focused with a consistent and transparent classroom management approach. You should be enthusiastic, seek opportunities for innovation and leadership, and desirably have the proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
