Are you an innovative educator who likes to think outside the box?
Greenwood College (GC) is seeking enthusiastic, creative, and passionate Information Technology Teachers to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.
As an Information Technology teacher, you will participate as an integral member of the Technologies learning area and would actively contribute and support a collaborative team approach to further develop a culture of excellence in the Technologies teaching and learning program. Suitable applicants will be responsible for supporting the collaborative approach to curriculum planning, providing learning programs to students suited to the needs of the school community and modelling exemplary teaching and learning strategies in your delivery. Suitable applicants will ideally possess a repertoire of teaching strategies to engage students, ideally having knowledge of and experience in, a range of instructional strategies and tactics.
The suitable applicant should have the ability to plan and teach WA Curriculum Information Technology content including Drone and Robotics technologies across a range of ability levels from Year 7 to Year 12, including Senior Secondary General Applied Information Technology courses. Suitable applicants will ideally have sound interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and be able to work cooperatively in a Learning Area team.
As reflective practitioners', suitable applicants will ideally possess effective data literacy and a capacity to modify their practice to meet identified student needs. The capacity to engage in the development and implementation of innovative classroom practices, including advanced integration of information technology into the classroom, will be highly regarded. Pastoral care also remains a highly desirable aspect of the role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to liaise with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships will be highly regarded. Suitable applicant to the pool should be relationship focused with a consistent and transparent classroom management approach. Applicants should be enthusiastic, seek opportunities for innovation and leadership, and desirably have the proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Hold full, non-practising or provisional registration with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full, non-practising or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
