Ridge View Secondary College (SC) is seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly competent and enthusiastic Home Economics teacher with excellent interpersonal skills. Ridge View SC is a new and growing college which will have years 7-10 in 2022 and will be preparing for the first Year 11 cohort in 2023.
The successful applicant will be committed to promoting Home Economics education and fostering student engagement in a supportive environment where success is celebrated. There is opportunity to contribute to the planning and design of upper school pathways and courses in preparation for upper school students. You will ideally have experience teaching across a range of Home Economics subject areas as well as delivering Vocational Educational and Training Programs. Holding a Certificate II in Hospitality and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be highly regarded.

Ridge View SC is a new and distinctive secondary college with state of the art facilities located in South Baldivis. The college opened in 2019 and will cater for students in Year 7 to 10 in 2022. By 2024 the college will cater for students in Years 7-12.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
