This is a six (6) month fixed term, part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2021

Cape Naturaliste College is seeking an enthusiastic engaging and highly competent teacher to join our Mathematics team.

The successful applicant will have a passion for secondary education and the desire to impart their skills and knowledge as a member of our college. You will need to be self-motivated, prepared to enthusiastically embrace new opportunities and work proactively within our community. Graduate Teachers are encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant should also have an excellent capacity to communicate clearly and concisely with staff, students and the community and be able to articulate a clear vision that complements and supports the College’s excellent culture in teaching and learning.  You will ideally have demonstrated successes when teaching students, as well as the capacity to evaluate and improve your own performance through careful reflection.  Knowledge of the curriculum area, ability to work in a team environment and a willingness to be a part of a strong and supportive pastoral care system that runs through the College is highly valued.

The College is located in the States’ Southwest and is an Independent Public School with an outstanding reputation for both academic progress and pastoral care. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.
