The positive start to the program and expansion of the Education Support facilities has created the opportunity for increased resourcing. Balcatta SHS is seeking to appoint a dedicated and skilled Education Support teacher to work with our team, committed to making a difference to the lives of young people with disability through education.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be committed to promoting and fostering student engagement and wellbeing in a supportive environment where success is celebrated. Flexibility within the Program will be an essential component of the role, as well as a commitment to personal and professional growth. You will ideally have experience using a range of assessment and reporting methods to monitor student achievement in relation to learning outcomes. We are seeking an individual who possess the ability to plan purposeful, relevant and authentic learning experiences that cater for different student learning needs. The ability to incorporate accessibility technology and information and communications technology (ICT) into learning programs will be highly regarded.

You will be required to oversee the development of meaningful and measurable Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure that IEPs outline functional curriculum objectives and support the whole child through targeted social-emotional skills, life skills and Protective Behaviours curriculum.
