Newman Senior High School is a small regional high school. It is well supported and resourced. As the only local education provider for high school aged students in our town, we are looking to expand our programs to provide engaging pathways for all students, including providing access to participation in a wider range of programs. The focus will be on students in Years 7 – 12 who are disengaged or will benefit from non-mainstream pathways and programs. This also includes assisting students to reintegrate back into mainstream schooling. Our goal is to ensure students remain engaged in a learning program through to the end of Year 12, or on a pathway to full time employment.
The successful applicant will have, or be keen to acquire, the skills and capacity to develop innovative and engaging programs and use Special Education Needs (SEN) Reporting. Our aim is to have students fully engaged, making progress and achieving qualifications. You will provide support to students as you develop and deliver programs for individual students and small groups. Your qualifications may include Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Award Scheme Development and Accredited Network (ASDAN), industry based qualifications or capacity to deliver other endorsed or alternative qualifications. If you aspire to work in Engagement, the school will provide support and a tailored professional learning program to ensure you have the best possible qualifications and background to complement your innovative and creative approach.
