Landsdale Primary School (PS) is seeking a highly effective teacher in the specialist area of Visual Arts

The successful applicant will be expected to provide a high quality inclusive program in their area of Visual Arts, providing a broad range of engaging experiences for all students. They will be able to use a range of assessment tools, evaluate the effectiveness of their program, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for students in their classes.

Where appropriate, the successful applicant will integrate digital technologies into the specialist program. Developing and maintaining strong connections with staff, students and the wider school community is important.

The successful applicant would desirably be able to implement whole school strategies, have the ability to collaborate, integrate digital technologies and use a range of formative assessment. Good interpersonal skills and to engage effectively and positively with students and staff is required.

Landsdale PS has a friendly, collaborative team approach to teaching and learning, staff are committed to improving their teaching practice and engaging students in diverse learning opportunities. Our students are supported to be happy and resilient. They are encouraged to make appropriate choices through our emphasis on Positive Education. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. 

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY

TRAINING
