This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2021

Kelmscott Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Officer to join their school administration team.

This position requires sound skills using word processing and data software packages. A comprehensive knowledge of SIS/Integris and RM Billing is highly regarded.

The successful applicant will be responsible for daily receipting of all incoming monies for school contributions and charges and miscellaneous items. Liaising with teaching staff for all excursion charges and the processing of invoices through RM Billing for external customers. They will also be responsible for all RM Billing end of month processing including the receipting of direct payments to the School bank account. The successful applicant will also coordinate the production of Booklists and the Contribution and Charges packages for the incoming year.

Other responsibilities will include assisting with reception duties, including meeting and greeting visitors, answering the switchboard and responding to routine enquiries and requests of general information. The successful applicant will possess a high level of interpersonal and organisational skills and be able to liaise with staff and students in the delivery of excellent office support.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):

  • Experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and /or preparing financial returns.
  • Ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.

  • complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment; and
  • provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
