Pannawonica Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Secondary Teacher to teach Mathematics from Year 7-10 and Health & Physical Education from Pre-Primary to Year 10.

To uphold our vision, our school operates like a District High School offering onsite Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 classes to our Secondary Students taught by our Secondary Teaching Team with our Year 11 and 12 students continuing their education through the School of Isolated and Distance Education.
The Position:
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Secondary Teacher – Mathematics and Health & Physical Education to our Secondary Team.
The successful applicant will work as part of this team of Secondary Trained Teachers to meet the needs of our Year 7-12 students. This team environment extends beyond our town with our school working closely with a number of Secondary Schools across the state with regular interschool events taking place.
Our students are engaged, positive and are excited to learn. As such, the successful applicant will value and implement effective, innovative and engaging learning programs and will work collaboratively with staff to apply whole school approaches for Curriculum delivery including consistent approaches in Pedagogy, Social and Emotional learning and Engagement across the school.
Furthermore, the successful applicant will possess outstanding interpersonal skills and will be able to form strong positive relationships with students, staff, parents/caregivers and the wider community. They will value and commit to a positive school culture.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
