This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2021

Harvey Senior High School (SHS) is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, motivated and student-focussed teacher who can work collaboratively to develop resources, undertake planning and moderation and who has the skills to build positive, caring relationships with students based on mutual respect.

The successful applicant will be able to teach across a range of ability levels from Year 7 to Year 12 and has a high interest in collaboration across learning areas.

Excellent classroom management, the ability to develop rapport and motivate students, differentiate the curriculum to cater for individual student needs and to practise a range of teaching strategies to maximise student outcomes are highly regarded for this position. A knowledge of, or expertise in, Explicit Direct Instruction would be advantageous.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. 

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY

Employees will be required to:

TRAINING

Employees will be required to:
