Ballajura Community College (CC) is seeking a dedicated Education Support teacher to join their school. The successful applicant will have an ability to provide high quality learning experiences for all students and be willing to join our team of like-minded professionals.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated; student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences. You will utilise innovative initiatives and be able to work effectively within a dynamic team. This will involve reflecting and assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and cultivating a safe learning environment. You will utilise evidence based teaching practices whilst employing a range of assessment and reporting methods. With effective interpersonal skills, you will work closely with students, teachers and the community to instil rigour, resilience and pride, allowing students to achieve to their full potential.
You will support the implementation of the College’s Business Plan, work and teach in a team environment, be committed to whole College approaches and initiatives and have a strong evidence based approach to teaching. The successful applicant should have experience in a wide range of teaching models and differentiating the curriculum. Adopting inclusive practices, building positive relationships with students, staff and community are important components of the role. Applicants will ideally have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to teach students in an Education Support classroom with varying ability levels across Year 7-12 in a highly engaging manner.
