Leeming Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.

The HASS learning area is committed to teaching excellence, ensuring all students are provided with the best opportunities for future success. Applicants would need to have a sound understanding of the developmental needs of students at all phases of the Western Australian Curriculum and will be skilled in differentiating the curriculum to meet the academic needs of all students.

It is desirable that applicants can develop a supportive and positive classroom environment, possess effective interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively in a team environment. Previous experience in teaching Economics or Psychology would also be desirable. Suitable applicants will possess skills in behaviour management, evidence-based pedagogy and curriculum expertise. They will have a commitment to inclusive education and a strategic approach in planning for improved student outcomes.
