Appointment Pool
Eden Hill Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
We are seeking applicants who are motivated, innovative, and possess high quality teaching skills. They will be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole-school processes and participate in collaborative planning with a ‘students first’ focus. Eden Hill PS is committed to improving teacher practice through a coaching model characterised by ongoing observation and feedback.
Suitable applicants should possess a strong capacity to plan, present and assess differentiated, challenging and engaging programs and have a thorough understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. Furthermore, it would be highly desirable if applicants are able to illustrate how they have used data-informed practice to improve academic and socio-emotional student outcomes You will desirably possess the ability to reflect on your own performance, contribute to staff development and support our distributed leadership structure. Suitable applicants will be committed to continuous improvement, which will be displayed by a sound knowledge of whole school programs and priorities. Ideally you will also exhibit a proactive and positive approach to student engagement and behaviour, comprising individualised planning and the consistent application of low-key classroom management strategies, aligned to Positive Behaviour Strategies (PBS).
Ideally, the suitable applicants will be collaborative and reflective, and able to work in a Professional Learning Community (PLC). You will desirably be able to integrate Information Communication Technology (ICT) into your teaching. Applicants with previous knowledge and experience utilising the Substitution, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition (SAMR) model, Talk 4 Writing, Seven Steps to Writing Letters and Sounds, are encouraged to apply. Implementing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) inquiry that incorporates purposeful play and previous experiencing using best practice in Literacy and Numeracy will be highly regarded.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
