Wongan Hills District High School (DHS) is seeking to employ an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our dedicated team.

As a teacher at Wongan Hills DHS, the successful applicant will support school wide programs in English and Mathematics with fidelity. A knowledge of Words their Way, Guided Reading Approaches, Talk for Writing, and the ability to effectively teach the four proficiencies in Mathematics would be desirable. A capacity to rigorously analyse student performance data, continually monitor the impact your teaching is having on student learning outcomes and provide a differentiated curriculum will be favourably considered.
The successful applicant will need to be highly motivated, innovative and possess high quality teaching skills. They will need to show strong interpersonal skills as well as a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships. They need to be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, and participate in collaborative planning. We are seeking an applicant who is reflective and willing to work with colleagues to create a culture of continual improvement as our school embarks on implementing a framework for Classroom Observation and Feedback

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
