Pinjarra Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join their friendly team.
We currently have the following positions available:
- 2 x Full-time, permanent positions commencing Term 1, 2021
At Pinjarra SHS, you will work collaboratively to initiate and engage in professional discussions with colleagues in order to evaluate and improve professional practice. You will have effective interpersonal skills and be able to establish good working relationships with students, peers, parents and the wider community to achieve the best educational outcomes for our students.
Applicants will be conversant with the Western Australian Mathematics curriculum and have a proven ability to teach across Years 7 to 12. You will be performance driven, use evidence-based decision making skills and be passionate about creating positive futures for students.
To be successful in this role, you will be student and relationship focused, innovative and able to work effectively in a team environment. You will also be able to demonstrate an engaging and energetic teaching style and be able to differentiate the curriculum to meet the academic needs of all students. You will have the ability to incorporate Information Communication Technology (ICT) and enterprise skills into the design of the teaching and learning experience and effectively use School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) planning documents in teaching, learning and assessment programs. Furthermore, strong applicants will utilise formative assessment and data analysis to provide explicit feedback to target specific student needs.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
