This is a three (3) month fixed term, part-time (0.2FTE) position commencing Term 4, 2020
Cunderdin District High School (DHS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher – Design and Technology to join their school.
The successful applicant should possess the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding to teach Design and Technologies up to and including Year 10 level, meeting the requirements of the West Australian Curriculum. You will be expected to support the implementation of the School’s business plan, work and teach in a team environment, be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives, and have a strong evidence based approach to teaching. As part of your standard practice, you will reflect on and assess the effectiveness of your teaching practices using a variety of methods available within the school. You will provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve to their highest potential.
Cunderdin DHS is a vibrant country school in the Wheatbelt with a proud history and a strong community spirit. We cater for children from Kindergarten to Year 10 with excellent facilities for students of all ages. The school staff are positive team who are dedicated to the needs of our students. They provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for our students to grow in. Many teachers and support staff have established life-long relationships in the Cunderdin district.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
